Overview

This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies we use on Forxample, why we use them, and how you can control them. We aim to be transparent about both required functionality and optional tracking.

What we currently store on your device

Forxample currently stores the following first-party consent-related identifiers:

These are first-party values controlled by Forxample and used to maintain your preferences and user experience.

  • Cookie: forxample_cookie_consent stores your selected consent mode (`all` or `essential`) and expires after 1 year.
  • Local storage: [forxample_cookie_consent_v1](code stores your full consent preferences, including analytics and marketing toggles and the update timestamp.
  • Local storage: forxample-theme stores your theme preference, light or dark.
  • Affiliate referral tracking: when you visit through an affiliate or partner link, Tolt may store a first-party referral identifier on our domain for up to 30 days so eligible referrals can be attributed.

Cookie categories and legal basis

Depending on your region and applicable law, we may rely on consent for analytics and marketing cookies and legitimate interest for strictly necessary cookies.

  • Essential cookies: Required for core functionality and security. These are always active.
  • Analytics cookies: Help us understand usage patterns so we can improve product performance and user experience. Activated based on your consent choices.
  • Marketing cookies: Help measure campaign performance and ad relevance. Activated based on your consent choices.

Third-party tools and tracking

Forxample integrates consent controls with Google Consent Mode via `gtag` when Google tags are present in the environment. Your analytics and marketing selections are used to update consent signals, for example `analytics_storage` and `ad_storage`.

Forxample also uses Tolt for affiliate and referral tracking. When a visitor arrives from a partner link, Tolt helps record the referral click and may connect that referral to a later signup or purchase during the referral window.

If optional third-party tags are not enabled in a given environment, no optional vendor cookies are set from those tags.

How to manage or withdraw cookie consent

  • Use the controls on this page to update your analytics and marketing preferences anytime.
  • Delete cookies from your browser settings if you want to reset choices manually.
  • Contact us at privacy@forxample.com for additional privacy requests.

Updates to this Cookie Policy

We may update this policy as our product and integrations evolve. When we make material updates, we will update the effective date and publish the latest version on this page.
