Website for HVAC contractors

Half your year happens in two weeks

The first genuinely hot week and the first cold snap decide most of your bookings. An HVAC website has to be findable before those weeks, not built during them.

Ready before the heat

Pages built in spring, found in July

Nobody plans an air conditioning failure

They search when the house is already ninety degrees, and they search the symptom rather than the trade. “AC blowing warm air.” “Unit running but not cooling.” A page listing installation, maintenance and repair matches none of that, and the call goes to whoever does.

Every call is a page for the next one

You run five or six calls a day through the season and the same faults come round every summer. Each one is a page waiting for the next person with the same symptom. Drag the slider to your weekly volume.

Three things that shape HVAC online

The seasonality, the split between emergency and planned work, and the fact that the equipment itself photographs badly.

Start your 14-day trial

Two customers, two completely different searches

Someone with a dead unit in August and someone planning a system replacement in March are not the same buyer. One wants availability today, the other wants to compare efficiency and cost over a fortnight.

Build pages before the season, not during it

Pages take time to be found. Work posted in April is doing its job by July, which is precisely when you have no time to think about a website.

The equipment is not the photo

A condenser looks like every other condenser. What reads well is a tidy install, clean line sets, a neat job in a cramped attic. That is where a customer sees the difference between careful and quick.

Building the pages in the quiet months

The habit costs nothing during a shoulder season and pays for itself when the phone starts ringing.

1

Photograph the finished install

Or the tidy repair, before you pack the van.

2

Name the fault and the suburb

“Capacitor replacement, Spring.”

3

It waits for the season

By the first hot week it has been indexed for months.

What HVAC contractors ask

Three that come up most, including the one about whether photos of mechanical work help at all.

My photos are metal boxes

Which is fine, because a customer is not judging the equipment. They are judging whether the install looks like it was done by someone who cares. Straight line sets, sealed penetrations, a clean pad and no debris left behind say more than any certification logo.

Most of my work is maintenance contracts

Then the site is doing a different job, which is filling the top of the funnel. Maintenance customers almost always arrive as repair customers first, and repairs are what people search for.

I am flat out in summer anyway

The question is what you are flat out doing. A steady flow of enquiries lets you weight the diary toward replacements and installs rather than taking whatever comes in, which is the difference between a busy season and a profitable one.

Be ready before the first hot week

Every page you post in spring is working for you in July, when you have no time to build anything.

Frequently asked questions

Should I post repairs or only installs?

Both, and repairs are usually the more valuable pages. Installs are higher ticket but repairs are what people search for, and a repair customer with an ageing system is often next year's replacement.

Does commercial HVAC work the same way?

The posting habit is the same but the buyer is a facilities manager on a longer timeline. It is worth stating scale, response times and whether you handle rooftop units, because those are the filters they apply first.

Should I name brands I install?

Yes. People search for specific manufacturers, particularly when a system is under warranty or they are matching existing equipment. Naming what you work with can turn up in searches no services page would ever match.

How do I show emergency availability honestly?

Post it when it is true rather than putting a permanent 24/7 banner in the header. A dated post saying you are covering call-outs this weekend is more credible and does not commit you to every night of the year.

Is it worth posting in the off season?

It is the best time to post. Pages take weeks or months to be found, so work published in the quiet months is exactly what carries you through the busy ones.
